Called to serve the People of God, within the Celtic Rite Old Catholic Tradition, serving God in Humanity, as Bishop in the Kingdom, I minister to the wider Australian and International Communities
A “tent maker” Ministry like St.Paul, I pastorally reach out to those within the broader community through social networking, individual contact or spiritual support
A brief Bio :
• I was born in (1951) in Sydney (Darlinghurst, NSW) to Eileen (nee Harding) and Murray Johnson, the eldest of seven siblings, four brothers and two sisters (one deceased) and educated in various NSW Country and inner-City Sydney schools
•
• After completing HSC/Senior High School (1969), I entered the Religious Congregation of Christian Brothers, undergoing training/education and briefly teaching in several Primary and Secondary schools in NSW, before leaving Religious Life but continuing my teaching career in Country NSW and Tasmania
•
• I pursued further tertiary studies (1980-1996) before a change in my career, leaving teaching for nursing, leading to further study at TAFE NSW (2000-2005) which saw me take up nursing and specialised care in Aged Care and Hospitals, in Metropolitan Sydney
• A second “Calling to Ministry” brought me to Ordination as Deacon (2002), Priest (2003) and Bishop (2013), the latter being my present leadership/ministry role within Christ Our Hope Community Sydney/The Australian Church of Antioch
• Before resigning my Position recently (2020) as a permanent part-time Care Worker for Australian Unity, Paraquad NSW and Eureka Home Care Service Providers (2001-2020), I worked amongst those in the Disability Community, supporting them in their homes, either with personal care or other needs
• As a Justice of the Peace (N.S.W.) and Religious Marriage Celebrant (Commonwealth of Australia), I serve the wider community, extending my professional and pastoral skills.
